I'm almost 45 and I'll never forget how bad our bathrooms were. They always smelled of cigarettes and there wasn't a stall you would find cigarette butt smeared on the toilets, the floor, the walls, everywhere. It was awful. Vapes must he a benefit nowadays for kids trying to use the bathroom in peace.
Being the smallest kid in class being the youngest kid in class getting bullied not knowing wtf was going on half the time because I didn't understand what tf other people were doing and thinking. Not knowing I was disabled and it was normal how I was feeling but I was stressed all the time because I didn't know. Feeling like I was supposed to be dating and stuff and feeling like a failure because I wasn't but I wasn't ready and it was ok but I felt like shit the whole time. It was just a mess and even when I started growing I was so mentally scarred from everything I couldn't be the handsome confident boy now that I was taller I just wanted to be left alone.
I pretty much didn't do anything that a person is "supposed to do" in that time except some drinking and partying. That's probably why I drank so much at once when I was partying because it was the only thing that wasn't gonna turn on me XD. I never got into drinking habitually but when I was at a party I usually drank too much because I didn't really know how to know when to stop yet and I just I don't know I liked drinking.
I wish I could've enjoyed highschool more but I don't have any regrets for the situation I was put in I'm honestly proud of myself for how I got through that. I did still have good things I enjoyed but the whole social anxiety and not knowing myself and what was going on around me just was a cloud over the whole thing.

I didn't hate that much in high school, but as a shy, extremely handsome, Mensa-level-bright lad in a high school in a working-class area of Windsor, Ont., it was obvious I was a square peg in a round hole.

“ Vapes must he a benefit nowadays for kids trying to use the bathroom in peace.”
That leads me to what I hated about Highschool… Fearing of breathing in the Vapes. You would go into the restrooms and once you took a whiff of a “fruity” smell that is how you knew you breathed in Vape… Second hand Vaping isn’t as bad as right away though basically the battery heats up the piece then it turns the solid into vapor then once you breath it in it becomes solid again stuck against the lung. Also since it is heating up… Bad chemicals from the vape itself also go into your lungs like Nickel, Tin And Lead. Not fun being in Health Class learning that then going to use the bathroom only to be met with that exact harmful sh*t. Cigarettes & Vapes are bad. I don’t care about the comparison because both are bad when you boil down to them being an invasive substance putting others’ health at risk.

High school girls are the worst. I remember a few times changing for PE and a girl would try grab my attention while she was changing and then if I so much as glanced at her I'd be called a lesbian.
Which like not wrong but it was fucking annoying. Eventually the more depressed and idgaf I got I started changing while facing into the middle of the room rather than the walls. Making eye contact with the girls who'd fuck with me all the time. Would wear lacy thongs and ask if they liked what they saw. The chafing was so worth it.
(This was a Catholic school)

I had low self esteem due to criticism by an extremely jealous mother on a constant and never ending basis and my low self esteem caused me to be bullied, vilified, mocked, and socially excluded at school, and it also led to humiliating rejections by guys I liked. I was good looking but most men would not date me cause I was a social outcast and had a bad name for being a loser at school.

I was bullied from middle school - freshmen year by two specific groups of people because I pass as one race/ethnicity but I fluently speak the language of the other group.. I finally confront and put all of those people in their places freshman year as I grew tired of their bs, and today they will all say that I am was/am the aggressor. If you speak to ANY of those people, they’ll say how I was rude, mean, and I talked a lot of shit for “no reason”. It just seems as if that’s how life is today, the victims of bullies become the “bullies” when we fight back and have had enough. You see today in school where the victims are punished when standing up for themselves. It’s sad. I personally believe that’s why many victims of bullies commit suicide because it’s a “damned if I do, damned if I don’t” situation.

I went to a private high school, and many of the students were from the upper class. I and my small clique were the middle class ones. Even though several of the rich kids were nice, I always felt jealous of their vehicles, the fact they could travel to Europe or Mexico or go snow-skiing every year, etc.
Though I got along with nearly everyone in my class, I was also never included in their world: The parties, etc.
I had a small clique of other middle class friends I hung with.

The bullying, really. I was bullied all the way from kindergarten to 12th grade. If I had gone to pre-school I most likely would've gotten bullied there as well. I haven't gone to college (yet?) but I assume it would be slightly better at least since they're more adults than teens/children.
Even when I WASN'T being bullied, the other kids/teens would never make an effort to include me in anything. They acted like I just didn't exist.

I think was the lack of capital punishment for the infractions you noted above. it would have only taken a few firing squads to whip people into shape. as it was, had to endure selfish addict idiots.
beyond that, the insecurity with females.
maybe we should have all found Jesus a lot sooner...
00 Reply High School was ok for me. Much better than primary School which I had to suffer at because people in my Class, meaning girls, labelled me as the strange one, the one they don't like and it was so uncool to be friends with me. I hated that categorisation which placed someone as an outcast forever.

4 hours straight of Economics class, Wednesday morning, 8am to 12am. With just a 10mn break to light up a smoke? Like really wtf was wrong with these people xD
Other than that, I really enjoyed HS time, cool people, good talks, even romance.
Superb.
00 Reply Being bullied constantly, at the behest of the young women whom I flirted clumsily on a daily basis, resulting in various female students commissioning their boyfriends to push me around, slap my face and make me kiss their shoes, etc. It was a difficult situation then, but I'm grateful for it now.
00 ReplyWhen I was in 11th grade, I had a huge crush on the most popular boy in school. He was always nice to me, but long story short, it was all fake. He couldn’t stand me and would talk about me behind my back. Otherwise, I had a normal high school experience, I suppose.

The constant level of homework and you know, it's not like during schooling I'm earning money compared to the real world when one is an adult and working yet at least they're getting paid for it you know? Anyways
That's the luxuries of reaching adulthood - there's finally no more homework.
Finally, no more homework
I really want to highlight that luxury, that there is, no more homework or studying :P 🥳😈01 Reply- 6 mo
Hell the catfights and the bullying and the social cliques were all easily manageable - i just as a lazy guy or even a motivated guy often just wanted to rush through 🏫🎒 schooling and I'm so glad I'm now 30 and been out of the educational system for over 10 years now since :) and working earning money for a living 👀🥳😋 and thankfully, no, more, home-work
The fact I got picked on, I never stood up for myself, the others found it hilarious that I couldn’t tell when they were kidding, sarcastic or when they were serious. I hated that I was a loner - nobody wanted to be my friend. And to this day - now 46 - i have no real world friends. 💔😢

Why is this anonymous? It's a generic question...
HS was AMAZING!! I don't have a real complaint or bad memory. I was annoyed I had to show up sometimes for something other than girls or score weed but I was blessed to have the skills to cruise through the academics.00 Reply The bullies. Always picking on someone. Especially just because the kids were smart. I'd always try to defend them. Got bullied myself. And the school always seemed to protect the bullies. And I also hated a lot of the subjects, that were useless to learn. Done of then we're useful and fun.
00 ReplyThe absolute state of denial that the teachers and parents were in about the drug problem, and the cult-like obsession with the football team despite almost every other sport having better records.

Many of the girls knew nothing about good menstrual hygiene practices. They would leave period blood on the toilet and have pads on the floor or sometimes the blood would be on the sink. It was absolutely disgusting.

How none of it mattered. The diploma did... They love that piece of paper... but I sit there wondering what it was all for. Besides languages, PE and math, I can't use the rest.

Hate missing most of my junior year and half of my senior year (bad accident). Still graduated with my class, missed out on all of the great things that took place during those years. Like yearbook pictures, prom, dates, dances, games, friends, etc.

I don’t think I ever used the bathroom in school, I would hold it till I got home. I hated school mostly because of the bullying and other things I didn’t want to deal with, didn’t really like any of the kids there either
00 Reply I grew up in New Jersey which is a tough state. Add on top of that that I had a big mouth and I was in a lot of fist fights. I won more than lost but never liked it.

Or to likewise endure it until finally I could graduate, you know, and not say I was a dropout, I really did graduate and like others be able to the enjoy the benefits prime of years 18-30s enjoying the benefits of adult life: earning a living, money, still having to do Monday through Friday, yet at least earning money, time off work when vacation aka holidays and finally the "gap year" or months between graduation and finally landing a job or whatever other journeying life where there's time to enjoy some savings.
I think everyone here who's 20s to 30s can appreciate the time they "took some time off just to enjoy hard earned money and live a little, party a little, you know," :) at their own expense and merrily,. memories merrily, family merrily or even just out there for a few months enjoying a love partner and travelling or even just enjoying a break - and with some small sample of the larger savings, to do just that. Did I ever do any of those things? Minus the girlfriend and the travel far, yes I have enjoyed times in my 20s when I had savings, spent some savings, and had some me time for a change : my time :P memories :) 😄😄💞😄😄
