I'LL TRY TO KEEP THIS SHORT AS I CAN...
FOR THE LAST 7 YEARS I've BEEN A CDL TRUCK DRIVER.
WELL, ABOUT A YEAR AGO I STARTED GETTING SUPER BAD ANXIETY WHEN DRIVING THOSE BIG TRUCKS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. I MEAN I WASN'T SAFE TO BE ON THE ROAD AT TIMES.
BACK IN June I HAD A SIEZURE BEHIND THE WHEEL OF MY TRUCK & RAN OFF THE ROAD INTO A TREE & HAVEN'T WORKED SINCE.
IM SUPER STRESSED OUT BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I KNOW I SHOULDN'T BE DRIVING ANYMORE FOR A LIVING ITS JUST GETTING 2 DANGEROUS.
THE PROBLEM IS IF I DON'T DRIVE TRUCKS ANYMORE IM TAKING A SIZEABLE PAY CUT & I DON'T KNOW HOW IM GOING TO GET BY.
EVEN IF I WORK 2 JOBS ITS STILL GOING TO BE HARD. I DON'T HAVE ANY EDUCATION OR MARKETABLE SKILLS. & I FEEL AT MY AGE ITS TO LATE TO LEARN A NEW TRADE.
WHAT SHOULD I DO? IM FREAKING OUT BIG TIME.

First, know that it's never too late to learn new skills. Begin by assessing your interests and exploring career paths that align with them. Consider leveraging transferable skills from your experience, like time management and attention to detail, in roles such as logistics coordination or warehouse management. Look for short-term courses or certifications that can quickly enhance your employability in these fields. Networking may also open doors to new opportunities. Additionally, consider speaking with a career counselor to identify potential pathways and develop a plan tailored to your situation. Seeking guidance is a crucial first step in building a sustainable future.
