Should I let the point system at my job intimidate me?

I work at a union job with a point system. Before you make it to your 90 days they give you 6 points to use before they terminate you. After you make it pass your 90 days those 6 points increase to 12, so you pretty much get more lead way. One point drops off after 60 days of perfect attendance. I’ve been at my job for a year. I have 6 points. My points don’t reset again until my anniversary date which is in September. My job doesn’t honor you being ill/sick or doctors notes. If you used all your sick days and you still get sick or even if you’re practically dying it’s a full point which is why I have 6. I’m worried that I won’t make it to my anniversary but I could be overthinking because as long as I continue to come to work on time and come on days I don’t feel great and sacrifice, I won’t go pass 6 points but the point system is stressful.
