Is this an unreasonable job target?

I'm fed up with the management at my work.

The head manager of the company is an arrogant a**hole.

I took on a filing job which is easy but we have run out so now I'm scanning the files I organized. Their set targets are ridiculous. They want us to complete 3 boxes per day.

I have to scan A4 documents from folders.

There is about 12 per box & some of the files are really thick. They can be about 10cm high.

When I'm scanning there can be errors like staples jamming the printer. There is at least 1 in every file. Also the corners have to be folded out. If not, it takes time going through the folder to find it.

It took me 4 hours to complete 1 box which had 14 files.

They get really uptight if you don't do 3 boxes a day.

I've been doing the scanning for 2 weeks & will be for the next month as we have run out of files to organize.

I'm just finding the set targets too high & it's been emotionally draining with stress & worry for not getting the boxes done.

Me & another lady can only manage 2 boxes per day & she's finding it hard also.

The management & staff apart from this lady are awful when we can get to the targets.

I can't go to management so don't know what else to do.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thank you
