How common is it for people to be passionate about their line of work?

There are three types of workers:

1. People who love their job and are passionate about doing it well

2. People who do their job, and sometimes do it well, because it's necessary to get money, and doing it well gets pay raises.

3. People who hate their job, and do the bare minimum.

From my experience, the majority of people are #2, with #1 and #3 in the minority.

you need to add that many people are passionate about their work.
there are many people that are, and this is a blanket statement, because in these professions not all are but the majority of them are.
teachers, doctors, nurses, lawyers, fire/ems law enforcement, and many more.

I was passionate about my former type of work in the medical industry. I would not say that I loved the job, but I was passionate about it. There were rough days and at times it was high stress. But there was a certain amount of satisfaction about being in the medical field and ultimately helping people.
