I've devoted years to studying and learning but now I believe I'm ready to begin pushing out books. I finished 1.3 books in November. Plan on finishing the remaining 0.7 of the second book in December. I could actually publish 12 books a year but I thought having too many books might be bad for my reputation as an author, cause it might seem like my work is not original or carefully planned out.
It's also easier to half or quarter that and publish 3 books a year or 6 books a year, or even 1 book every 2 years. Also with 12 books a year, that would be 144 books in 12 years, which would mean my books would be harder to promote, since I would have to devote my book promotion time towards 144 different independent book creations. 288 books in 24 years and so on. Promoting 288 books might be harder than promoting 2 books.

Publishing books is indeed a balancing act. It's vital to allow enough time for writing quality content and promoting each book effectively. Publishing one to three books per year can be a desirable pace. This allows ample time for editing, marketing, and building anticipation among your readers. It also ensures that each release feels special and is adequately promoted. Such a schedule can help maintain a healthy writing and marketing cycle, preventing burnout and enhancing your reputation as a thoughtful author.
