Get your GED. I have heard that they are fairly easy and you can do most of the work for it on your own schedule. If you were a guy, construcrion work could be possible. Restaurant work is possible but in any position people are going to look askance at lack of a high school diploma. Actually, you smartest bet may be to attention a community college and get an AA. Many community colleges will admit you if you pass certain test that show a little more basic intelligence and, depending on the field, could admit you on the basis of a test and, most importantly an interview. Try to insist on an interview with the admissions office. If you can give them a sound argument they could do any of a few things 1) admit you and allow you to study and take the GED while studying. 2) admit you because you look and sound intelligent but do not try the easy way- online. If you are trying online you have no real chance of showing them you you are capable of doing the work. If you try online then it is not likely to work. Alternatively, write a letter to the director of admissions and sate your goal and the reasons you don't currently have diploma. There are plenty of good reasons. If you dropped out because or=f drug or alcohol issue and are ni clean, tell them that as that is something that will impress them though I suggest remaining sober while in school and they will likely have that as an amendment to your admissions. I'm not accusing you of anything but if that is the reason, be up front with it they will be impressed by your will, your candor etc. In any case start working on a GED because you will eventually will need it.

Unfortunately, employers will look for a high school degree or a university degree, even if those degrees are in a different field than the job on offer. It's a way of sifting through the many applications. I have been involved in personnel selection processes and had to interview many candidates.

So, my advice is to get some other degree, if that is a possibility in your country. It will open many doors that otherwise may remain shut.

Yes, there are jobs that don’t require a high school degree. Hotel cleaning and laundry staff is one such position. But if you want a wider variety of jobs that can pay better, I would consider going for a GED or equivalent.

Get your GED or you probably can’t get much of anything.

  • Finding a job as a high school dropout is possible with determination and the right approach. Consider entry-level positions in industries like retail, food service, and manual labor, where formal education may not be a strict requirement. Developing skills through vocational training or apprenticeships can boost your employability. Pursuing a GED can also open more opportunities. Networking with people in your community can lead to potential job openings. Focus on building a strong work ethic and gaining experience, which can lead to better positions over time.

Go pass your state's Notary Exam and train as a legal videographer. In SoCal I start my techs at $30/hour.

Also they will pay about 90% of the cost for you to train for a better career.

You might want to get your GED.
