How long should I give this company to call me back?

I've been doing court ordered community service for a couple months at goodwill. The Lieutenant at the sherrifs station set it up. He also gave me a sheet to fill out my hours. He also said I could just punch in on the clock, and then the manager can send it to the Lieutenant to show that I did my community service. The thing is that I was planning on doing it that way so I havnt filled out the sheet. The manager that does that Is on medical leave. At first her husband was having surgery, and now she has a broken hip. She's been gone since I started working at goodwill. I called the Lieutenant what's going on. He was pretty understanding. He told me to call the other manager and see if he could do it. He couldn't so he had me call goodwill industries. It's essentially the goodwill headquarters. I told them what is going on and if they could somehow get my hours. The lady on the phone asked for the leutenants number so that if they are able to copy my time then they will send it to him. She said she'd call Me back to tell Me whether they can or can't copy my hours. That was yesterday at 6am and I havnt gotten a call back. I expected it to take a couple hours but it's been almost 24 hours.
