Are you a good writer if you can detect flaws in the writing of others?

I was reading a book yesterday that had an almost 5 out of 5 rating and it was written by a doctor.

I thought the writing style was disgustingly bad and did not know how they got into medical school cause if I was their English professor I would have given them a D for communication style.

One of the reasons it's taken me so long to launch my career is that I am a perfectionist, who refuses to write anything that a Harvard Professor would not give me an A+ grade for.

The reason I did not pursue graduate school further after my first several month attempt is that I refused to go to school unless I knew I could get perfect A's in every class.

I believe so that I am good writer eventhough I didn't really get discovered being an Author I just shared stories on one website and latest I cannot get back to em.

Growing up I easily at once memorise correct English words in my English subject/s and I am the best in Spelling in grade three. And so I am capable to correct people's English grammar.

If I remember every single time to review all my writing, I am right all the time...

Perfect is the enemy of good. I think you are way to hard on yourself. I think I suck at everything I do, but I still publish. That's how you get better. I'm sure this doctors next book will be better.
