I wanted to see if there are any other writers on this site. If so, are you currently working on any novels, short stories, poetry, screenplays, or any other projects? Explain what your project is about, if you'd like. Do you like writing?

I just finished a 300 page novel, and I recently went back to work on my book series, which is about 5 characters that die, and are sent back to earth to learn how to face fear. I've finished 3 books in the series so far.

I'd love to see a comparison of polls, showing the general public's interest in writing versus forums such as these, where people can relate old memories in word, expound upon thoughts, fantasize about "whatever" they want to. Whatever.

Thanks! Yes, you're probably write about there being writers on this site. I've talked to a few and they've all written different types of material and different genres. This is a great place also to get feedback from others and hear their opinions in words.

I have talked to some really intelligent people (And also some really dumb people. Mostly political people giving an opinion that never read a book in their life! And you can tell!)

It's amazing the different writing styles people have here. This is a great place to hear some many different opinions and see what others have to say!

Yes, I am a writer and I am working a script for my short story. The story is a horror/Sci fi, four people were parked on a six floor Mall parking lot and when they tried to leave the building in their vehicle, they were still on the six floor where they started until they encountered a villain that they already knew that was behind all this.

I'm a writer but I'm taking a break from writing. I finished a novel a while ago that was about a girl who fell for a ghost.

That sounds like a good novel. Mixing fantasy and romance is always fun. Novels about ghosts always peek my interest, and they always do well because people love reading them. I wrote one about a guy ghost and a girl ghost that were helping each other solve their murders when I took a break from my series.

That's smart that you're taking a break because you can get burned out if you overdo it. Never give up on it though. I have talked to some really intelligent writers here, and I've heard some amazing details about the novels they've written.

I started a Tik Tok account today to share some of my novel details with the world. One thing I love about writing is getting to make up different product names, and get creative with them, though it is also nice, unlike movies and tv, it's nice you can use name brands too. But I love making up my own!

Thank you so much! I hope yours become successful as well, and I'm sure they will! I've always been a little scared to publish. One day someone told me to create some social media accounts and talk about your books and gain an audience, so I started with Tik Tok. I made my first video today.

I would definitely read your novel. I like when fantasy and crime are mashed up, or fantasy and horror, or any other genres. Cross genres are so interesting. The video I made today was on how I wrote 3 books in one year, and I gave some tips. I actually wrote 7 this past year, but the 3 are part of my series.

Everyone tells me that Amazon has a really good publishing service, and it cost nothing, and a lot of people that I've talked to online told me their books are doing really well.

I hope you keep writing! :) I don't know how many books you completed, but to me, after the first one, it gets easier and easier to write them!

If you keep a notebook and pen on you, more ideas will come to you! I can imagine you're a talented writer. I think it's nice to always meet another writer on here too!

If you ever write a book series, you will become so attached to your characters. I'm afraid to kill mine off! They seem like real people lol.

I've heard that Amazon is a great place right now to publish. I may consider eventually publishing there.

I definitely will keep writing. I just have a bit of writer's block right now but I do plan on writing again soon.

A book series might be next in the works for me! 🙂

Thank you :) That's so nice of you to say! You should definitely write a series! It gives you something extra to shoot for.

And when you go to write your characters, they will feel like friends! You grow so attached to them. In my series, my female character< Lexi, has a crush on my main character, Triton, but he has feelings for my goth character, Violet, though he finds Lexi cute and desirable. The characters face so many challenges and so many dangers, and they work together as a team, and act like friends, even though they don't admit it, lol.

Sometimes I wish they were real people. It gets lonely here! If you ever write a series, don't wprry about your first draft being horrible. My first draft was SO much different, and shorter!

Any ideas you have, create a story with it and write whatever you want and go back later to edit, and add what you want and delete what you don't want. You have a gift and your story will get better and better because more ideas will come!

That's OK. I was thinking of sending the first novel in mt series to beta-readers. If you'd like, I can send you a copy of the first book in my "Destination Fear" series. I could use some feedback because I'm so nervous about publishing anything. You would be helping me out!

The book is about this guy named Triton who always had trouble facing his fears. He lets people walk all over him and is shy and has really bad anxiety. He dies in a car accident and meets, Mackenzie, a spiritual guide who tells him he must return to earth and learn how to face fear and conquer obstacles. When he returns, he meets 4 others in the same situation, so as a team, they help each other get out of all these horrible situations. They travel through time as they're facing all these problems as well.

Take my advice, keep writing! The more you write, the more motivated you will be to write, and once you finish something, you will feel so proud of it. Follow those dreams! You're a writer, and you have a gift. Keep that gift alive!

Seriously tho, what makes a writer? I like to write small poems noone will ever read and songs that noone will ever sing, and they all end up in the garbage. Does that make me a writer? Then yes, although I still wouldn't consider myself one.
