I've worked both evenings and nights. We are diurnal creatures. That's simply a fact.
WHen your body clock is off kilter, your life is too. It's too much trouble to be on another clock. No stores open, not able to get together with friends or family. No one to talk to. You can't run necessary errands, get car worked on, make groceries, pick up or wash laundry, have your house worked on... etc...
And you never feel rested either because you're always interrupted by people who forget you're working evenings or at night. Or your phone rings with the annoying callers who start at 8 am and don't quit until 8 pm.
If you have children, this is another issue. They have to go to school in the morning and get picked up after school ends. Even with after school care, you've got to get them by 6 pm and if you're at work this means you can't help them with homework or monitor what else they're doing...
Terribly difficult. And I've done some of it.
When I'm working i like to be able to give my absolute best effort. So I always love the evening shift.
I've never been an earlier bird. Night time is when I feel most energized and most like myself. So evening shift is what I prefer.
And then I go home and enjoy the night...
I would wait for you :D
we wouldn't get much sleep :D
I've always preferred to work daytime hours, but my job occasionally required evening and middle-of-the-night working, which I had no problem with. In particular, if we were at a customer site, updating its systems, often had to be done at night so as to not interrupt their required operations.
Working evening or night usually pays better.
Say if I can work evening/night/weekend but work 4 days a week and make more money compared to working day time 5 times a week.
Then i'd prefer that.
If the pay is the same I'd rather work day.
If it's outdoor work I'd rather work day.

Actually I don't really need employment because I make gold even piss it once had COVID and Corona one of my dicks pissed on me wherever they were they left and sold themselves toilet sinks I take long pisses toilet once went through floor luckily place was sacred so regenerated itself even made it by accident with Ether
I’m most productive overall when I work during the swing shift (3:00-11:00 pm). I have plenty of daylight to do essential business, personal and household tasks before I head off to work at 3:00 pm. After 11:00 pm, I have ample time to eat a decent meal, take a thorough shower and other hygiene tasks before I doze off between 12.30 and 1:00 am. All I ask is that I get Friday and Saturday nights off.
early morning until early afternoon... I'm most productive and most efficient in my job... :D
Preferer closing shift 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm only because I have the morning off. So, I can have morning nude time before I have to leave for work.
I've always had a love hate relationship with that shift. I liked that I could sleep in in the mornings yet didn't like that I had to anticipate work so my time before hand would be limited
👍💕👍
I prefer days because in the evening I just want to relax. I guess it's just what you get used to.
Days just seem so much busier. Depending on my mood I do enjoy the social aspect of day shift
During my studies, I would usually work throughout the night, as I would be least distracted. I wouldn't mind working night shifts either.
depends on what type of job im working and with who
True
What if your colleagues are Superman and Wonder Woman?
When all around you are resting or switched off there is peace and time for one to get shit done, though I am aware quality isn't always great from emulating owl behaviour.
My job can only be done in nights... well mostly
As early as possible, so that I can have more from my day.
I think it depends a great deal on the actual role.
10-7 in the daytime. I've worked shifts like 9 PM to 9 AM before it and it totally messes up your days off, as you'll be wide awake when everything is closed.
I love working days but have been on a night shift for the last 11 years.
Nights seem quieter compared to the day shift no bosses right?
Do you find though you're becoming nocturnal?
Wish it was so but I still have multiple bosses on site. there's not much difference between day or nights in that regard.
@NicholasRedone no. I found that my body doesn't know what to do. I rarely ever sleep more than a couple of hours at a time. I constantly go from being wide awake to a wave of exhaustion where I just want to lay down on the spot and sleep. I never feel rested just a constant state of exhaustion. I thought I'd get use to it but no.
New year new job? 😁😜
P. S. ☺️ after all, you've given 11 years to the graveyard shifts, a sea change or a nice move to a daytime workplace elsewhere, like down the street even, shrug the mall shrug, working in an airport or factory park of factories factories, etc. anyways have a nice year ahead 🥳
I would rather work days. I worked nights for a while and I was always falling asleep.
Depends on the job.
In some jobs, night shift is better, but usually, in most jobs - day shift is better.
Day so I can come out in darkness hahaha joekd 🌑🕶️ I'm no ; odd ball
*joked
If I worked away from the office in my house each day, then ideally 0600 to 1500.
Days but I work at home. My company doesn’t even have a office to go to.
I prefer start early morning and close in evening.
That's a busier shift isn't it?
I prefer to work during the day.
