Which work shift do you prefer more: day shift or night shift? Why?

I had tried both and no thanks to the night shift. I don’t care if they pay more. 🤣 I cannot get used to it!

Days for sure. Worked as a dishwasher/bus boy at a reception hall in high school. It was fun but there were many nights (mostly Saturdays) where I didn’t get home until almost 3am or later. Felt like crap usually on Sundays.
Since entering the workforce after college, my jobs have all been on day shift and I much prefer it. In by 7:30 and sometimes out by 4:30 but usually later due to the nature of the business.

I think my favorite "shift" was 4 AM to Noon.
I say "shift" because we didn't have shifts, per se, but I volunteered to do this...

Long story involving shared resources, so I volunteered to work very early so I could use those resources and thus give more time to the people who needed those same resources during normal hours.

Night shift so I don’t have to talk to customers. lol I’m shy, my memory isn’t the best, and I’m not good at explaining things, so I hate people asking me for help just for me to tell them “I don’t know.”

I'm not a morning person, so second would be ok.
I will work 24s at the station, filling in for someone it can be a 36.
We are not supposed to do more than 36 straight, but we have all worked 48s and few even more.
That get old quickly.

I've done morning shift and afternoon shift that was from 3pm until 10pm or 12pm until 10pm and I didn't mind working either shifts

I have also worked both shifts. I have to say, working nights was easier but I prefer working during the day

Day gives one a better work/life balance. One of my first jobs was that kind of shift work in a very large Hotel chain you would've heard of. I hated it.
