Am I over sharing?

I’m talking to my coworker and we’re talking about trump equal employment. She’s telling me that it’s to protect American jobs from foreigners so I said yeah that’s what Canada do cause I remember when I try to get a job in Canada someone told me that they will give it to their citizens first before giving it to a foreigner. Then she mumbled that I’m always talking about myself 😂 i don’t know. Am I wrong? Am I over sharing cause to me it’s just small talk.

If she said always then yes. Using every conversation to turn it into your experiences is narcissistic. It's not building common ground or sharing it's happened more than once as it feels always.
