Is this an auditory cortex problem?

I like to read books but do not like to listen to human speech because when I read, I can cover a 300 page book in a few days but when I listen, the words are slow and poorly pre determined. I read people that experience verbal abuse have less cells in the auditory cortex and I want to know if my lack of brain cells explain why I get so frustrated with certain podcasts. Reading is easy, I’ve done 900 pages in one day before, but listening to people talk bores me.
