Opinions on my work schedule and how to survive?

I work 7 days a week 12 hours a day, I haven’t had a day off for 110 days, and I’m mentally exhausted, my dad got me the job, and I make a lot of money, but it’s destroying my mental state, I can’t do anything I enjoy ever, and I’ve lost all interest in everything I enjoy. I also travel for work, and I’m moving 5 hours from home as soon as this jobs over until April, 2 more months with no days off, I don’t know how I’m going to do it.

This is really what people say when they say that money isn't everything.

Get something else, for your own health and mental state, this is not viable and it's only a question about time before you fall down because of stress, or something else.

Until you're able to get out and get something else, hopefully take some time off if you have the opportunity after.

While in the situation, I would almost advice you to cut corners where you can. Maybe call in sick for a few days just to take the edge off.

So you're working 84 hours a week. But worst of all there are no days off to recuperate. You can push your body to some degree. But a bit like working out, half of the training is in the resting and recuperation, when your body integrates what you've done to it and cools down a little. You're going to make yourself ill.

But I don't get what kind of job you would have where you don't get at least one day off a week? Though really for 12 hour days you need at least two off.

But yeah. I don't get what we can tell you. There are more important things in life than money. Well, such as your health. This is about you. Why are you doing this to yourself? I suggest there is something deeper here.

We restore coastlines (build beaches) and my job title is irreplaceable, and without me, they cannot operate, and the entire job shuts down, I make what I used to make in 2 months in a week now, that is the only reason I am staying, that and because I do not want to let my father down.

How the f was this negotiated so you didn't even have one day off per week? What kind of job is that? in my opinion, you need to go back to them and say you want two days off per week, for your own health and the sustainability of the project. If you're really irreplaceable then you can negotiate anything you want. Take a slight hit in pay for your own wellbeing and health.

Also, respectfully. Fuck your dad. What kind of dad would ask their son of that? No dad should want their son to destroy themselves over a stupid job.

So what do you want us to say? You're prioritising money over anything else.

By your own admission, you're in 'survival' mode. If you're asking how can you trick your body and mind into thinking this is okay, you can't.

That's a good working schedule, build some fortitude to hack it

I myself do 10 hours a day, 7 days a week but even I take a day off once a year

The only way you can do that is if you have your own business, an employer can't do that to you. If it is an employer go the EEOC. You'll get more money than you'd make working.
