Question

I been out of work for 2 years, I got an interview finally, but the public transport is unreliable. I would have to wait 40mins outside before the start of the job, then wait 40min after the end of my shift for bus. It would take me 1.5 hours to get home. So I would wake up at 7 and be home at 6:33pm.

The job is just above min wage but it's decent for me. I just don't think I'd handle the waiting in cold everyday.

think about it this way.
You will have a job, the first one in 2 years, and no one says you cannot look for another job while working at this one.
My dad always told me that it is easier to get a job if you have a job.
Give it an honest try, yes, the transportation is less than desirable, but you will have money coming in which takes some of the pressure off of you.
So, while you are looking for something better, at least transportation wise you will still have money coming in.

I had a similar problem, going by car wasn't an option, no where to park, and the transport system wasn't very good. Fortunately I'm a cyclist and I was thrilled to bits going home on my bike, and not having to wait for buses, especially in summer. Not for everyone though, but terrific for your health etc. if you can manage it.

Well I assume you don't have kids depending on you and since it's only above minimum wage I think you'll be able to find a job more compatible with your schedule life style etc

If transportation is your dilemma, then you are best to find yourself a work from home job so you don’t have to worry about finding rides or freezing your ass off. Work from home and save your money as much as possible so you can eventually buy yourself a car or find yourself a boyfriend that drives and can take you places

It all comes down to how hungry you are. If you are hungry enough, it really isn't a question of it being worth it or not. If you have someone counting on you, it's worth it. There is no such thing as a bad job when you need to eat. No shame in working regardless of the job.
