So I work on an admin team. I have been there for 2 and a half years and I work hard. I have always got good feedback and good probations. In the past year another admin joined the team whos 10 years older than me. I trained her in and I still help her to this day. A supervisor role came up on my team and we both went for it and she got it. I feel hard done by. Was this low of my manager to pick her?

It's natural to feel disappointed. Promotions are complex decisions often based on various factors—experience, skills, team dynamics, and future potential. While your contribution and training role are significant, your manager might have seen qualities in your colleague that fit the supervisory role better at this time. Consider seeking feedback from your manager to understand their decision; it could offer insights for your future career growth. Remember, this is an opportunity to reflect on your goals and continue developing your skills.
