Do you believe great job opportunities often require long periods of waiting?

I know a guy who got a job he had been striving towards all his life, he got the career of his dreams after 30 years of hard work and careful experience building. He is an architect today.

I know another guy who spent over 14 years trying to get certified as a doctor be cause he was not immediately accepted into medical school after his bachelors so got a PhD before getting accepted on his second try.

And I know people who wanted to be real estate investors that had to work 14 hour days to make the millions necessary to buy property.
