What happens when the department of education is broken up without a funding source on state level?

How do you think these choices will affect students of all ages and in all positions of life. Some area's have property tax. Others to not. Where do you think the money will come from that used to be funded from the government. Student meals. Grants. Special ed programs. Programs for disabled children. Etc.

I'm curious your personal thoughts.

So i was also concerned with the concerns you had, and of course i did my deep dive and investigating reading materials from both parties, things from him, experts.

I feel less concerned.

So k-12 is mostly funded by the states already.

Some funds come from federal, pretty much the programs you named.

he is not planning to remove any of that. He will keep the funding coming in.

Also by removing the federal department it frees up more money in the states, because in the process of securing funding states will lose a small amount they raised on their own.

Also removing the federal DOE would in theory speed up processes. As they could decide in local state level. (This does concern me especially in some states)

I am definitely watching this one closely because it could impact me. But as for right now if he follows through on the plan as he has laid it out. It could mostly be a good thing.

He has promised get rid of overspending in his campaign, and help make things run more efficiently. And to me this is his attempt.

I just hope he does it wisely.

Majority of education funding already comes from state and local governments. If Department of education is eliminated without affecting federal funding, it'll be a big improvement for our education system that has been going down hill ever since the department of education was implemented. Both department of education and no child left behind was a disaster that negatively affected our education system. My aunt was a teacher in the 70s and is in 100% agreement with getting rid of the department of education.

Hopefully maga starts home schooling all their kids since they all know better than teachers with masters degrees and want to ensure their kids don't hear real history lessons.

Teachers will quit, and schools will close. MAGA will be happy with this since uneducated people support them and are easy to fool. MAGA hates educated people who can figure out what they are up to and catch them in their lies.
