How toxic is your workplace?

I worked in healthcare and military most of my life. It's disgustingly toxic. Egos and power trips everywhere. So many like to say "I save lives for a living" then act like entitled brats. The phrase "Too many chiefs" comes to mind and the most stressful part of these jobs isn't the patient care, it's the culture and coworkers. For-profit healthcare brings in the worst kinds of people and policies.
Extremely! Which is why I always go back.
A toxic workplace can manifest through several signs, including constant negativity, lack of support, poor communication, high turnover rates, and a general feeling of unhappiness among employees. In such environments, stress levels tend to be high, impacting both productivity and well-being. Consider if there are issues like favoritism, lack of recognition, or persistent competitive tension. It's essential to address these issues by communicating with leadership, seeking support from HR, or, if necessary, considering a change to a healthier work environment that promotes growth and respect.

Surprisingly non-toxic. I work with...98% guys, in a blue-collar, unionized job with a large number of employees spread out. I've worked with different groups of guys at different times, but always the same job.
It's shocking to me how... non-toxic that workplace is. Especially with women. These are guys of all ages, and all backgrounds, but... definitely very blue-collar. There are the occasional asshole, but I've thought to myself many times that it was surprisingly nontoxic when it came to women.
That's everything from the way guys talk about women, to their general attitude towards women. There are some women who work there.
I have a friend who I worked with several years ago, who is one of the few women working there, she is a goddamn jaw-dropping knockout... plus she has a great personality.
She does have an issue with the guys who work immediately with her falling in love with her (I've seen it happen... twice). But... aside from that its remarkable that such a large number of men... generally treat her as they should.
She's really well liked and nobody has anything bad to say about her. Nobody is talking about her the way you might think (and the way guys totally do in other situations where it's a group of just guys).
The way guys talk about their significant other might surprise you too. There' really not any real complaining about the wife. Generally, the married ones love their wives, and have no problem telling you so. Its Just... not what you would expect.
It's maybe the least toxic environment I've ever worked in.
People are chill generally. NO complaints.
It was at beginning even chick at reception who exists just to shine with her BL1 veneers to convince patients to invest a S class Mercedes in their mouths, tried to control and to dominate me. After months of pecking order I established my place in row of people who make money and are the reason wages are paid. Humans aren't more than animals and it's necessary to play this game at every new place.
Currently work from home so it’s not bad. About 8 years ago I worked for a large aerospace contractor and it was horrible. To the point of people committing suicide in the building. That’s the great stuff you never get to read about because they care so much more about the bottom line than the ones putting in all the effort to make them $$
Not at all. Now my last job, that's a different story.
Not at all, fortunately.
I don't think my workplace is toxic.
