I went to an interview today and he hired me on the spot. I got an email saying im the service champion. From my understanding I will be working the register and taking orders. I'm not good at talking to people really, and I'm terrible with counting money. I'm thinking of asking my boss if I could just work in the back making food. Should I ask him?

I used to work ar a McDonalds and you didn't have to do any math. The computer would tell you what change to give back. The only time you really have to do math is when the customer gives you the change after you already typed everything in. If you really can't figure it out, just use your calculator on your phone. I also remember when my friend worked at subway, they had a machine that counted their drawer for them at the end of their shift, so you might not even have to worry about that. If you have to count it yourself, I'm sure there's an app to make it easier for you, there's an app for everything.

And you don't have to have a full a conversation with the customer. Most don't care about you and just want theirfood. Just say "how are you?" And "have a good day"

Sometimes getting out of your comfort zone is a good thing, you really don't count money any more, it's done for you. when I was younger we actually had to calculate the change. You got this!
