Why are there so few female pilots?

Ok, I can understand fighter jets, the overloads there are such that not every physically strong man can withstand them, but civil aviation? Why is this field still mostly male?

The same reason you don’t see a lot of women truck drivers. The environment becomes so heavily male and openly hostile to women that they avoid it.

Aviation has historically been considered a male-dominated field. This perception probably deters women from considering it as a career.

I don't think there are as many women interested in aviation as men are.

Because women don’t want to become pilots. If they wanted to they would. Nothing is stopping them. Usually women are more interested in humanities and working with people.
