Did you get a school loan and have you paid anything on it? Biden paid off some student's loans. Who were they? How come no everyone had their loans forgiven?

Did you get a school loan and have you paid anything on it? Biden paid off some student's loans. Who were they? How come no everyone had their loans forgiven?

This is a strange question for me.
Some basic facts.
1. Every single country that tries free education can thorughly prove it increases overall income far beyond the cost of providing it. This isn't even debatable as we have dozens of real life examples showing this is what happens and a grand total of 0 examples of the opposite. It is literally one of the safest investments in the world.
2. The US, because it is always USA refusing beneficial policies to money if they also benefit people, currently has an increase of roughly 55 billion USD per year of student loan debt.
3. The US federal government gives universities, the same institutions these debts are created from, roughly 60 billion USD per year.
4. Just for fun. The US government gives out roughly 180 billion USD as company welfare - money to get by for nothing in return - per year.
5. For extra fun. Everyone's favorite billionaire Elon Musk has been given 38 billion USD as welfare.
Yes. A trillion dollars and then a policy shift is a big step. Actually, it is almost as much as USA has lost on the Tariff policy since it began until today.
USA could have fixed its educational system and forgiven all debt. Been praised worldwide as a role model. And instead... did some bogus tariffs with no research and is now the most trending laughed at meme of China. Priorities.
Man, bullshit. I paid my debts. Everyone else should too.
You know what free education does? It produces a generation that cannot even explain what their own shadow is.
1) I don't have kids and don't believe sinlge people should have to pay for other people's kids education.
2) The world is not a better place. Now we have idiots who can't tell the difference between a man and a woman, and they are "educating" little boys to think it's okay to castrate themselves and pretend to be a woman.
3) We have more people with degrees in "Gender Studies" and "Liberal Arts" than we do real jobs skills.
I don’t think anyone should have their loans forgiven.
That’s not responsible, if your degree didn’t result in you obtaining a job that pays enough to pay off your debt? Then that’s YOUR problem, not everyone else’s.
And the irony? If every student loan got forgiven, literally everyone including those who had their loans forgiven will have to pay it back in the form of increased taxes. There is absolutely NO WAY that the government will eat the cost of billions of dollars worth in student loans.
But Biden did forgive a bunch of them. Must have been his cronie's kids.
I know he put a pause on the payments. But if he did in fact do what you said he did then that is beyond corrupt and he needs to face consequences
Oh, he's facing consequences now. He's going to answer to God for his support of terrorists in the Middle East too. He just got diagnosed with the worst type of prostate cancer. Payback is a bitch.
I don’t think he JUST got diagnosed with cancer honestly. I’m sure they knew about it and kept it under wraps, just like how the media covered for him by denying that he wasn’t experiencing cognitive decline.
The bigger question is, who was the person or the people pulling the strings during the entire time? Because honestly, I don’t like Biden at all. But being a person of decency. The person or people doing all that should be held to the highest extent of the law
The decision to collect on delinquent college loans reflects ongoing debates about student debt. I financed my education through scholarships and work opportunities, focusing on reducing financial strain. Some loans were forgiven for individuals meeting specific criteria, such as financial hardship or participation in public service programs. Universal forgiveness faces practical and political challenges. It's essential to stay informed about policies and explore repayment options, considering personal financial circumstances. Understanding long-term impacts and taking proactive steps can help navigate student debt effectively.

I think making these snowflakes pay back their loans will teach them responsibility. Something they failed to learn in 4 years of college.
True, the money was too easy for them to get and spend. How many partied their way through college on the taxpayers?
Public universities, yeah baby yeah. 😬👍 I think we only have one or two private universities. But do you know the real kicker? Our trade school students are already getting paid the whole three years of their education.
Anyone who takes a loan should pay it. If your humanities degree in the effect on the climate of lesbian penguins didn't get you a job then suck it up, buttercup and go to a trade school so you can actually do something.
Why would you need an opinion about this? You borrowed the money, you're supposed to pay it back. If you're unable to pay it back, they have programs for that.
Biden didn't pay off any student loans, he said he was going to, but it was ruled to be unconstitutional. Twice.
Automatically deducted in Australia , there is no way to avoid paying.
I didn't even know you had student loans in Australia. 😯 I assumed that was an American thing.
Good, I didn't both because nothing interested me nor could I afford it (only thing I could have done was graduate gemology but that's like 20k for the year)
When you sign on the dotted line. You are accepting the responsibility to repay the money!
Make them pay, it's the only right thing to do. We all know it.
