Would it be foolish to quit my job after the first day?

I just started a job today at a furniture store. It's also a place that rents u hauls to people. I've had a lot of jobs, and have never felt this overwhelmed. Thankfully my supervisor is a nice and patient guy, but I could tell he was getting impatient with me. I screwed up close to every task I did. The part that scares me the most is dealing with customers, and dealing with the money, and computer. Whenever someone brings back a u hual or trailer or whatever, I have to go to a program on my phone, and fill out a bunch of stuff. I'm getting the hang of that a tiny bit, but we were organizing boxes in the warehouse. I had to write down numbers from 36 different boxes, and we had to start over because I missed one, and it threw everything out of wack. I turned to my supervisor, and said "I don't think this job is gonna work for me". I was juts gonna quit right there, but he told me that it's okay, and I'll get the hang of everything. I don't think I will. I was thinking of calling tomorrow morning, and quiting.
