Would you write a feedback letter on why your job shouldn't be made redundant?

I got given a proposal letter on why my job should be made redundant.

My manager said I could write a feedback letter on why I should stay.

My job was reception cover and going through old boxes of files looking for original documents. 3000 boxes in total I have gone through.

It's an embarrassing job and I was already looking for something else a month a go. I have an interview with another company on Monday.

I feel like I'm groveling if I ask for them to keep my job when they won't listen anyway.

Do you think there's any point in asking for them to keep my job?

I'm just worried about money after if I don't find anything else soon.
