Whats your best tips for smashing a job interview?

I have a internal job interview on Thursday and I'm super nervous. It's a 12 month temp job as a transport clerk and may get a permanent job after ad the company is expanding next year too.

I've always done very well in interview especially internal ones but I never get the job because they usually have decided who they were gonna give it too before they even put the job out but had to make it seem fair but they hired the mangers son but I'm trying to stay positive this time.

It's for a office job something I don't have much experience in but I need this jib bad so I can make a better life for myself and my husband. I just don't want to get nervous and sound like I don't know what I'm talking about

Research research research about the company or organization. Can't say that enough. Also try to do mock interviews online via YouTube. They usually will have the Star method for you to practice with. It's basically a structured way to answer behavioral interview questions. A lot of questions will be situational questions and it's important that you have a good idea of what you will say and give examples of how you would react to that situation given based on past experiences.

Research the company thoroughly before interview. Know the name of the CEO, what they do, what projects they are currently working on. Also, use as many active words as possible ( on CV). Passive tones such as managed 15 people in group. Give an example of something you did that was out of your normal job duties. Read the annual statement every publicly traded company publishes.

First thing -- don't lie. Give examples of mature bahavior in your career -- times you helped a coworker , solved a problem without being asked, calmed an irate customer, in general just behaved like a responsible adult.

Also give examples of times when you didn't know how to do something, but took the initiative to learn.
