I like to be early for work, and early for appointments etc. I think there's nothing worse than having to explain why your late.
But I worked for a company that because it was off public transport routes, and car parking space was limited, they hired a coach to take us to work, and back to the public transport links.
The company delivered us to work on time, but they thought it was acceptable to keep us in the rain and snow for upto 45 minutes without shelter. After time this situation improved, but then we started to be late in the morning, because the coach didn't turn up, or was late. The companies reaction was to discipline the workers even though approximately 30 workers were late. The company suggested people should catch an earlier bus even though I was up 5am in the morning for a 7.30am start.
I've always been a good cyclist, and I decided, because I enjoyed the job, I would cycle the 20 miles, 10 miles each way to work and back home.
I was never late again, and I even enjoyed the ride in winter, with snow and ice, because I wasn't dependant on public transport or the companies bad transport to work.
Always be early, or at least on time. It is annoying to an employer for an employee to be even a couple of minutes late. In most jobs.
It's okay to be few minutes late sometimes but it's really a good thing if you arrive on time or few minutes early as it leaves good impress. I want to be punctual or arrive few minutes on time but I'm often late wherever I go even though I try my best to arrive on time. 😭
This is one of those "duh" questions. In what world would it be fine to report to your job late on a regular basis. If you intend to keep your job it's best to be on time or early.

when you are late... you worry people, you stress them out, you bother them...
so not, it's not a good thing to do continuously, lol...
If you do it continuously they should not stress lol
I see what you mean, because I used to get back home very late, and would tell my parents "as soon as I make it back... it's fine" lmao
but, when it comes to time costing money...
not quite the same, lol
True, but it’s a cost benefit ratio. If you’re the resident expert and can’t be replaced, they can suck up a 5 minute buffer
Its not ok to be late. Sometimes it happens to the best of us but I've known guys who were always 5 to 15 minutes late as a norm and occasionally when Something did arise they were 30 to 45 minutes late.
Time is money, for me i have to be on time. A minute late is late.
who cares
Early
