I learned through Ted Talks that a guy who went to business school at Yale, met his old classmates for their reunion around 10 or 20 or 30 years later, and he said his classmates who majored in business were all unhappy with their lives.
They could buy anything they wanted, but their jobs were very stressful with long hours, and their social relationships were all based on their income and status.
The only happy person in the group was the one who left Wall Street to work as a musician, he earned low wages, but he had time for family and friends, and he could visit beaches and parks anytime he wanted.
