I don't know how the study was conducted but I just based on my own thoughts about AI and some family and friends' opinions, I'd say it's pretty close for India on that graph. A friend of mine who understands much more than me when it comes to programming and cybersecurity, marvels at how much AI is able to do already and what more potential it has in future, but is also very cautious about it. Some of my family members are in the same space. Most others haven't really tried much to get into making use of AI.
My personal opinion? I'm also curious to see how AI is going to change the world. It's not all good or bad. I just hope if AI starts to take over creative fields then there have to be strict laws in place to handle any misuse of it. Like deepfakes... For example, I came across a modded version of a Spider-Man game where the player can play as Gwen Stacy (the character's not actually in the game but she's popular). And the modder, used AI to modify the main character lines to be spoken in Hailee Steinfeld's voice. (She played Gwen Stacy in a couple of animated movies) So now you have a popular actress' voice in a game without paying her a cent. That made me think back to deepfakes with how easily people are able to turn their own faces into those of famous celebrities. Wasn't perfect of course, but naturally the technology was surely worked on more coz nobody was really stopping it.
It's probably accurate for Switzerland most people I talk to, especially older people are like I don't need this bullshit :D
Older people are so right
No wonder its my dream destination
Well, we can’t see the sample size, nor can we tell who funded the study in the first place so we can’t claim bias without proof.
Ipsos statistic are often very tendencial, so i don't agree with that but I won't refute that either

Since I doubt that Twitter could be the source for something so serious... 😏
Here is the true source: AI index 2025 - chapter 8 - public opinion. Study ordered by Stanford Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) Institute. Also here is the complete study, in pdf.
I have no elements to agree or disagree with this study. But I can look at the obvious, saying it is showing that emerging countries look very enthusiastic (to get more money from AI?) while high income countries are more nonplussed.
Biases can produce an educated discussion between scholars. Right now, I don't feel like one among other ones, so I'm backing down 🫡
How accurate is it for France?
Tell me based on your friend circle and family
France seems pretty nervous
So the French are better after all /j
based on my circles, majority would look at AI like some dystopian horror, minority would be interested in how it works
I answer for my circle, I can't turn this into anything representative of France
Your circle is solid
All I know is that I too am not privy to any peek behind the curtain of any AI. It worries me that morons are putting their blind trust in something they don't understand. It worries me that governments are lagging the technology by decades once again. What remedies are available in the courts if AI fucks up a person or business monumentally? Can you sue? Who do you sue? Does an AI have personhood?
Seems right, countries that are worse off aka besides China out of those excited, would be so as AI could vastly help them to advance. Meanwhile privileged countries have the luxury of worry, and think we are already greatly advanced.
Pretty accurate for NZ.
It is what it is!
