Even studied in one.
But did take few courses in a very gothic US university, loved it
I think Ivy League and Oxford / Cambridge look really nice, I don't like the modern one at all.
Gothic. History and character. Modern always looks cold and cheap to me.

I've been to six colleges. If I had to only use one of those words, I'd call it modern. It was a great environment for learning. None of the buildings were large. Most buildings only had 2-4 classrooms, with covered walkways connecting them. So it was largely an outdoor campus, with outside entrances to most classrooms, rather than hall entrances.
Academically they were also a top notch school, especially in the area I was studying at the time.
I like the looks and architecture of the older ivy league type schools, but wouldn't want to go to one. They seem to have a cold and rigid atmosphere.
Never been to one to know. I went to business school at night while I worked during the day. I didn't waste my time at college or universities.
I like the old style architecture.

I’d rather have fancy old-fashioned buildings. As long as they are clean and everything in them is working well.
I like 100+ year old buildings and libraries with dark wood and a musty odor. It smells like knowledge. It looks like tradition. It feels like walking in the footsteps of great minds who came before you.
I am an advisor on the local state university, which is very modern, but my alma mater was mainly brick buildings and ivy. I very much prefer the older style.
Really, the style of the buildings is not that important. It's what goes on inside the buildings. The courses taught. The qualifications of the professors, etc.
Truth. The university that I went to was in horrible condition. Things were always breaking down (elevator for example), and we also went through many months sweating during classes because the AC was never working. The president of the university even got fired because he was not addressing the many issues.
However, I have wonderful memories of my time there and I feel like I received a great education because the professors were very knowledgeable and would also spend however much time to help students, even outside of class hours.
One that doesn't cave to authoritarian wars on academia to please brain dead red hat drones. I guess that puts me on team gothic on the East Coast, modern on the west coast.
I went to a pretty modern style uni. But my highschool was an older castle
More interested in the education involved rather than style of buildings.
I went to a relatively new modern building.
Both looks nice, but there is something special about the Gothic style.
