Do you think teachers calling students lame is rude or unprofessional?

If they have a lame attitude then that’s different. Or of their essay was boring, maybe. Like say for example I work with autistic children. I know some of them are skeptical about trying new foods. I know every autistic child and person are different and like trying new things. I’m autistic myself so I do understand what the kids went though. So we do a snack every Friday with our students. I know some haven’t been exposed to new foods. Honestly I don’t know if they tried it. Our new students were still learning about. The snack of the week was apples with caramel. I know some students like to eat apples but most didn’t like it. Some wouldn’t even try it. One of the teachers said, “It’s an apple. Come on. Just try it.”
I don’t agree with forcing food in a child’s mouth. One of the students tried the apple with caramel and he liked it. He’s the only one that tried it. One of the teachers I work with flat out said to them, “You guys are weird.” Or “You guys are lame. Just saying.”
I mean for my opinion I think that was unnecessary to call them lame.
I mean I understand kids disability or not should at least try things. We learn some of the kid that hasn’t been exposed to a lot of things. It would just take time. Some may like Apple with caramel, some of them don’t we don’t really know.
Don’t get me wrong, she’s is a wonderful, kind, dedicated teacher but I don’t agree with her telling the student they are lame.
That’s just my opinion. What I believe and encouraging kids to try new things but I’m not gonna force it.

When one of the kids tried the apple with Carmel, he made a face. I said, “I don’t think he likes it.” Then she rudely said, “Well that’s a bummer for him. Plus he doesn’t put effort into his life.”
I didn’t respond. I understand he needs to do things on his own but come on. That was a bit rude.

Sounds like she's a bitch and shouldn't come near children especially children with special needs and if you let it fly by you're just as bad as her. With all you written about this school and the issues there, then I highly worry about the wellbeing and development of the children going there. You and the teacher there make my stomach turn.
