American GAGers: what was Homecoming week like for you in high school or university?

I went to a high school reunion that happened around 1-2 years after I graduated high school, not the 10 year reunion since I was in a hospital on the day it took place, and I was disappointed with the reunion, because I felt that the high school bullies were still judging me by the fact I lacked confidence in high school and was made a social outcast due to my fears of public speaking.

I felt the freedom I had to talk to anybody I wanted was stifled by the old social bias against me that was set against my reputation at school. And then, I found the social dialogue I had with those who ate dinner with me was superficial and shallow and that there was no emotional intimacy or disclosure at our dinner party.

I had a good friend that I talked to about my personal life in high school but she was younger than me so I did not sit next to her during my reunion. She wanted to become a doctor and got high 90s in university, but because she was shy and timid in speech, she got rejected by medical school, and went to pharmacy school instead, even though she was better at academic work then most accepted medical students.

I threw bigger, better after parties than the Homecoming committee did in the campus or other rented venues.
