Why don't people care about people with invisible illnesses? Why is it so hard to get help?

I've been on leave because I've been having a problem with brain fog and falling asleep
My doctor told me I shouldn't do my shift anymore. My workplace has many people coming in and out, they're always hiring, but now that I need help, HR says dayshift is filled up. I'm not trying to stay at this job anymore, but I need to make money for bills. They say I can't come back until my doctor approves me and I don't know if she will.
I don't know if I'll get fired for dozing off or moving slow even if she allows me to go back to work.
I'm working with a state agency that helps disabled people, but even if I qualify I still have wait up to 3 months to get hired. I feel like I'm stuck cause most jobs are fast pace, require you to stand for a long time, and have long hours if you want any benefits

Yea and I'm trying to out more cuz I have vitamin d deficiency, and even with the med, I'm still below normal but not under 20 anymore, so the doctors aren't worried about it anymore.
However, my parents say that since I'm leaving the house more, I'm able to go to work and make money, but when I had cancer they were sympathetic. They compare their own pain and brainfog to mine, and said I should work. I do want to work, but not doing something that'll keep me in pain.
