Because you don't matter, as much as you like to think.
Society cannot stop for one person.
That you live with a "mental illness" is irrelevant as there are millions who do. There are various medical care and support groups out there for you to reach out to and improve your situation.
Lack of participation on your part does not mean others must up their game to engage you. Grow up.
