I was just having a conversation on quora with a far-right republican who refuses to admit rich people get rich by abusing everyone else. He tried to claim that people who "live paycheck to paycheck" are at fault for their own living conditions.
I was like, "nobody chooses to get sick or disabled, and nobody chooses to be turned down by clueless employers when they have 7 years college education and a 187 IQ."
I sure as hell didn't choose to be stuck working in shit tier jobs, because I applied to engineering and geology related jobs, whch was my major in college and never once was I hired in what i was actually trained in for 7 total years. I had all the credentials and certifications and applied ot an oil company and a railroad and neither of them ever even called me back, after I spent over 100 dollars that time getting my paper works in order (TWIC and stuff). Like every time I appleid to a STEM job they never even called me back, even though I aced all the STEM curricula in college. So I spent most of my adult life being unemployed or under-employed and working for idiots who didn't realize how skilled I really was.
I say, "fuck both the Republicans and the Democrats. I hate both political parties. They never solve real-world problems and all they do is bicker over who's in power."
I once wrote my own operating system and compiler in C language. I know how to program a good video game too, but my art skills suck and I don't have the funds to pay someone to make art for me. it takes a huge amount of start-up money to fund just about ANYTHING I've tried to do to make money on the side.
I'm fully medically disabled now, and have around $4500 in medical expenses every month now. In order to actually fund my own living without disability and medicaid/medicare, I'd need a 200k per year job by the time I paid taxes and still have something to live on.
