Students most definitely have it easier. Teachers workloads are generally much more, having to prepare lessons and mark projects, assignments, and tests on the regular, staff meetings, professional development, etc.

And then there's having to deal with all the problem students who either cause a ruckus in class (depending on the type of school), or the ones who are bullies or getting bullied. It's all stress

A student who acts like a teacher will probably get all A's.

A teacher who acts like a student will probably go to jail.

So I'll say the student has it easier.

  • Both roles have unique challenges and rewards. Teachers manage lesson planning, classroom management, and student needs, balancing administrative tasks and personal development. Students, on the other hand, face academic pressures, social dynamics, and personal growth challenges. Each has its own complexities, and "easier" depends on individual experiences. Both roles require effort, adaptability, and dedication to succeed.

A student, of course, has it easier.

The teacher has to spend years in college, getting a teaching degree, then attend refresher courses throughout their career. They must show up every day, prepared to teach class, which they usually spent the previous day preparing for. And, they must perform well enough, to educate their students so that they succeed, while at the same time, satisfying the administration in order to keep their job. In addition to the economic cost, there is an emotional cost to all that.

All a student has to do is show up for class, listen to the teacher, and study for tests.

Student. They do homework and assignments. Teachers have to know the material, put together all assignments and homework, grade everything, deal with students and parents, risk getting shot and supply their own classrooms, on a paycheck they barely get by on.

    Student. Especially these days.

Thankfully we had the option of learning music, both theory and practice. Fuck knows what they get up to these days.

The Teacher. I teach computer science and after I develop a course I just use the same material every semester. The kids have to study their butts off to pass my exams.

Neither and both. Teacher has to inspire and lead, student needs to be inspirable and cooperate

When I was a student, I thought that it was easier for the teacher.

Now I know that teachers also have their problems with certain type of students.

Neither. It's the custodians & secretaries that bear the brunt from BOTH. THEY are the heroes who keep school functioning!
