Why do people automatically assume that those who work in care roles are good people?

There are good and bad people in every kind of job. So why are care roles treated as an exception — where simply having a job in that field automatically makes someone seem like a good person? Some of the worst people I’ve ever met work in care. The job title alone means nothing.

I find medical professionals resemble disabled lives in the sense that the division between good people and bad people is starker and more extreme.

Among common and able bodied people who are not doctors, most people are moderately good or moderately bad, among disabled people or high level doctors, people are usually extremely good or extremely bad.

Also 1 in 500 people in North America are doctors, just like 1 in 500 people in the world are Jewish.

But in Canada, between 1-3% of the country is Jewish.

you or your relatives might have interacted with someone in that sector before. And they mightve come of as a good person. So naturally you assume so.

Second profession is very much close to people and community. You could relate with them much easily and start off conversations.
