For me, it’s bagging groceries. When I was in high school, I worked at my local grocery store as a bagger. They taught us to bag customers’ groceries “properly.” Meaning, cold items with cold items, toiletries with toiletries, cleaning supplies with cleaning supplies and so on and so forth. 18 years later, I still do that.

Thank goodness you still do. These jackwagons now have no idea what they are doing. I was also a bagger / courtesy clerk then moved to a freight worker and deli clerk and checker and assistant manager over bulk groceries. I'm always telling the people just ring them up I'll bag.

When i lay brick i hold it with my thumb on the face. The first one i pick up, even if im already holding it right, i flip it in the air and catch holding correctly, thumb on the face. I do that with everything now the fork before eating, tooth brush before I start brushing my teeth. And so many more objects that have a right way and wrong way to hold. Its like a necessary habit if im going to start any habit that requires me to hold something a certain way.
