5 moI had several based around the same thing: records and music.
1. Being a drummer in a famous rock band. Almost made it to famous! I think, if we could've finished our third album, that would've done it!
2. Being a DJ in a radio station. So far, I've had the chance to help a couple others with that and ALMOST got my own radio show.
3. Working in a record store. I was hired a couple times on a VERY temporary basis to help a certain record store do inventory a couple times and I DID get hired 2 days a month to work at a used record store just sitting behind a desk and cleaning records all day but that only lasted a couple months. Regular record stores wouldn't hire me because I knew too much about records so, they thought I'd be bored!!
4. Working at a record distributor. I was never able to find one until shortly before they closed up shop!!
5. Working at a record pressing plant but, the closest one that I knew of was about a 3 or 4 hour drive from here!!
6. Working in a recording studio. Closest I got to that was helping to run sound at a local major venue for a few months until someone killed my boss. He WAS in the process of building a recording studio and wanted me to work there with him once it was finished!Back-ups: Working in a print shop. Actually got that twice for a total of 13 years. And, something to do with show biz. I got a gig working for a local magician for just over a year as prop manager and assistant stage manager and I also edited his music for him as he needed it and, a few years later, I did some voice acting in a couple movies and I've helped several people write books they were working on. Also made a couple of my own comedy records.

5 moI actually wanted to be a comedic writer/actress like Tina Fey or Amy Poehler but that didn't quite work out so I chose being a pagan, deviant, lesbian, white witch with narcissistic tendencies who embraces her insecurities caused by having youngest child syndrome as a second career and that seems to be working out pretty good for me. 😊
30 ReplyDidn’t expect someone else to say it first but it’s still my answer as well: Formula 1 driver
The idea of traveling the world, making tons of money, having lots of fans, and all that just for going vroom vroom in a car around a circuit just tickles something in me haha
Unfortunately I’m a lifetime too late to even consider it.
It’s a very expensive endeavor that needs to start when you’re a toddler.

F-I drivers aren't ugly cruds like most NASCAR Billy Bobs.
5 moFor as long as I could remember, I wanted to be a contractor and build houses. My ex-wife hated the idea so after my divorce I started a business and became a contractor with one of my sons. I just signed over my shares to my son and retired but for 5 years it was so much fun.
