I read that working class kids are happier than rich kids as children, do you agree with my theory on why this is true?

I believe it is not what you have that determines how happy you are, but what you appreciate out of the things you have, and also how much you appreciate the things you have, that determines your happiness.

My friend told me during her pregnancy, before the birth of her first child, she wanted to limit the number of toys she buys her children, so that they would be forced to design their own toys and games for entertainment and not rely only on the toys and games that she bought them. This would make them more creative and help exercise their brains.

As a child, my family was saving up for a house so we were budget conscious and I spent a lot of time reading books I borrowed from libraries or that my family bought from garage sales as a form of free entertainment since we did not buy that many toys. By the time I started university, I had a vocabulary that was equal to your average college professor, if not better than your average college professor. I got kicked out of two poetry clubs because people were jealous of how many words I knew.
