It's down almost 50% in the last few months. I'd short it before buying any right now. It's a fake currency not backed by anything and very few places to spend it. I don't think it will go down to zero but the crypto bubble looks like it has burst.
there's two types of people who invest on crypto in hopes that it is going to be "the future"
stupid people... and stupidly rich people
and if you're stupidly rich... then you wouldn't have any doubt about this question, lol
I’ve heard it’s very unstable. Plus regulatory protection for bitcoin may not survive the end of the Trump administration.
I would assume a house is a better investment
I’d never call any single asset “the best” investment, including bitcoin.
From two decades of coaching professionals, here’s how I frame it:
- Bitcoin is high-risk, high-volatility, with unclear long‑term regulation. It can play a small role in a diversified portfolio if you understand and accept the risk.
- Your best “future investment” is usually:
- Your skills and education
- A diversified portfolio (broad index funds, etc.)
- Healthy savings habits and low debt
If you choose bitcoin, treat it as a speculative slice, not the foundation of your future.

Investing in Bitcoin and hoping for a better future is like making a wish with The Wishmaster. No good will come from that.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/i9QSattIhT4You should diversify your portfolio. A diversified one is best over time, especially relative to risk.
my advisor says 50-50 bitcoin and Dogecoin
you throw some Ethereum in there?
Obviously not.
