What was your dream job as a child and what do you do now?

As a child, I wanted to be a pilot. Then, at a very young age (around 7), I had to wear glasses, which basically prevented (at that time) me becoming a pilot. So I decided to become an engineer, and electrical engineer to be specific.

And that's what I became. An electrical engineer for about 10 years, then I got into software engineering and eventually systems engineering, where I was able to us all my engineering training and experience.

I'm retired now, after a long and successful career as an engineer.

It varied too often

Too be frank - I never really thought it too hard and then before you know it - you're an adult. In hinsight. It's always a tricky thing hindsight. Where was the foresight like owls lol 🦉 🦉 😆

So I guess in the end - i have had to take whatever I can get. A positive - I try to be fair.
To not be too selective about jobs - ✅

I wanted to be a ballerina as a young child. Then a doctor when I was in elementary school and middle school then I realized I sucked at science and gave up the idea.

As a child, I dreamed of being a teacher and a “business person” at the same time—I used to line up my toys as students and pretend to run a company after school.

Today I’m an education and career advisor with a business background (MBA from Harvard). I design training programs, coach students and professionals on study methods and career transitions, and help organizations develop their people. In many ways, I ended up blending both childhood dreams into one career.
