Not very easy to understand your question but in my case, I am focused and thus, my compass needle always points North, the direct for me to follow. There is no such thing in my compass as magnetic deviation like in aviation where you have to correct by a certain number of degrees East or West the track you are flying.

Not allowing myself to deviate from the true course also means that I will not date or allow my attention to be focused on anything else but the one I have set before takeoff and that is to finish my studies and get my degree.

I have set that magnetic course of 360° and that is the course I have kept for the past 3 years and for the next 4 years.
