Can you answer this question?

I'm preparing for this university entrance test and I was solving a sample paper. There's a section called Logical reasoning in the question paper. I got everything right but these two questions

Question 33 and 35. Question 33 doesn't make ANY sense to me, its answer is option C. I thought the answer to question 35 would be option D because it's the only shape without a quadrilateral but the answer is option C.

I am genuinely crashing tf out now. Please help a gal pass the test, I have to take this test after a week.

I think this test was based on how many you answer instead of how many correct ones you answer. cause the ones you have given are totally baffling me. from diffrent angles I am finding different answers.
So maybe there are multiple answers. Cause logically when those answers are explained one can not deny the reasons behind it. like in 35 I would find oval one an eyesore in full of figures with limited angles.
Also I can say that odd one is with star one cause it has no housing system properly designed.

Same with 33 I would find Answer as OIIC as some one said that they contains two I's
I could say that all other has J in it so I would go with OIIC

Someone Said LJFE has two sequential I would Say last one FJIM also has J and I sequential.
If you answer is LJFE the C one that I would say someone too weird has picked your paper to write that down cause only if you count the number of position in alphabet and write it down for each one
JHDB = 24, OIIC = 36, LJFE = 33, WJNA = 48, FJIM = 38
So they literally meant you to find the odd one out and answer would be 33 cause its odd one.
in here too we can argue that all other are divisible by 3 but 38 is not so it can be a answer. it is like that. If you understand. if this was on my test and I could confront the person giving me this paper. I would definatley argue with them with my logic cause the test is for that.

so... for question 33

my immediate answer would be... the second one is different to the other sets, because it is the only set that repeats a letter (I, I), the other sets won't do that

but you said the answer has to be C...

so the immediate answer I noticed is that the third set is the only set that has consecutive letters in the alphabet (F, E) all other sets don't have that

both of these observations are 100% correct and acceptable to me... so I would fight the university for that...

and just as I was writing down this answer... I noticed that the third set is ALSO... the only set in which the letters are ordered in a sequential manner (meaning, whether backwards or not... they are written down in the order of placement within the alphabet as well) but I had no time to actually confirm as I just want to press enter now and send my answer, lol

That's stupid. If you're going to have an odd one out question, you have to be sure that there is only one possible reasonable answer.

33. B is the only one without a J in it, for example, so why would that answer be wrong?

34 is E - it's not talking about temperature.

35 could be D because it's the only one you can draw without taking your pencil off the page or repeating a line. (There's a mathematical explanation for it, but it boils down to only two points having an odd number of lines leading to them.) - On closer examination C can, too, unless I missed an odd point. B is the only one with curves in - why isn't that the answer?

It feels a bit like Sesame Street!

33. I would've picked A because it has no vowels or B because it's the only one without a J. I would say it's C because either it's the only one that closely resembles an actual word, "LIFE" or because all of the letters in it are in alphabetic order whereas, the rest are not. Most likely, the latter answer.

35. I would say C is the only one with more than 10 triangles. D has 10, the others have 9. C has 11.

Notice how the step between the first two letters is the same as the step between the second two letters in all the answers but C.

If you do the same thing for the others it works every time except for C

35. I have no idea. I'm going to say 2 because everything else is made of triangles and it has a whopping great ellipse.

33 has 2 answers for different reasons.  A has all consonants. B has repeating letters. 35 Is kind of obvious and you answered it. The one making that test is tripping or trolling.

Just a quick look but on 35, shape 4 doesn't have a perimeter that is symmetric, the others do. The rest is noise to confuse you.
