Being asked to do things at work that I don’t agree with?

I have a lot of shifting tasks and priorities at work and there are a couple of jobs that I am being asked to contribute to that I just do not have the time or qualifications for. I don’t even agree with the job itself. I want nothing to do with it. How do I express my concerns? Do I go to HR? The last thing I think my boss will want to hear is that I don’t want any part in that particular area. They need to hire someone different for it. It pollutes my ability to do the majority of my other jobs. Frankly they need to hire a lot more people to do that job effectively.

Sometimes in small companies or a relatively young company experiencing growth, people have to wear a lot of hats and stretch themselves to learn new things.
