What’s something specific you don’t do due to your line of work?

For me, I don’t hang up on customer service agents. If I get upset, I just take a breath to calm myself and continue with the call. I’m a customer service agent and I hate getting hung up on so I don’t do it to other customer service reps. I know that they’re doing their job.

Some customers attempt to speak to me directly.
I'm in design/engineering section.
So I don't:
- talk 'prices'
- make promises
- tell them that their idea is nonsense
- take the piss for what 'sales' had fucked up

Further, I don't:
- wear a necktie
- allow business contacts insight into my private life
- bow to "power", "connections", "status", "wealth"

Massage Therapists can not "work miracles", and make you go from feeling like a wretch to a "million bucks" in one session. They CAN allow the body to help "self-repair". They CAN help you bring your body back into better balance after several sessions- and some homework on the clients' part- over a period of time.

When I worked in retail I learned it’s not always the cashiers fault when something doesn’t go your way. As a former chaser I got blamed for the most ridiculous things.

Yes. We know a cashier who is now a shift lead at a major food chain. It's a grind. I couldn't do it, with all these knot heads expecting miracles and then turning the toilet into their own private garbage pit. My brother-in-law worked at a major food retailer decades ago as Asst Dept Mgr, and even then, retail was a total joke.

You know when you call a company to conduct business? The person who answers the phone and assists you is a customer service agent. It’s just another way of saying customer service representative.
