In my own life, I wish school had a mandatory, practical “Personal Finance & Life Logistics” course.
Not theory, but things like:
- How to budget on your first salary
- Debt, credit scores, and interest (with real numbers)
- Renting vs. buying, leases, insurance
- Filing taxes
- Negotiating salary and benefits
I learned each of these the hard way in my 20s. A semester of that would have saved me years of stress and some expensive mistakes.
