Is it a city... Or would it be a continent?
Maybe a really high volcano?
What location should be the 2026 Capitol of Earth

Each one of us are the capital of the planet because we all have to work together to make it a better place and we can't be like the politicians and be greedy about it we all have to work together as one The Way We Were Meant to Be
No one wants a capitol other than Americanesians.
As for capital:
People count - places not that much. And people are everywhere.
If we MUST have one, I opt for ''North Sentinel Island''
Your update" for the fun I consulted AI:
If you are looking for the exact point on the surface of the Earth that minimizes the total travel distance for every single person on the planet, the geometric center is located in Bathinda, Punjab, India.
if we ignore humans entirely and just calculate the geometric center of Earth's landmass, the center is at Kırşehir, Turkey.
And that's where a ''Capital'' would make sense... if only mankind would give up their silly idea of ''nationalities''.
However - from my own views it should remain a symbolic place only.
In the year 3000, the people of Earth elected Richard Nixon's head as President, he ran it from Washington DC so I'll go with that
Ma'am, shame on you for being such a spoilsport! 😤
I’m going to nominate Ascension Island. One of the most isolated places on earth
That's probably a good idea lol
@Telekinetic-Potato USA 🇺🇸

Fun question. There’s no official “capital of Earth,” but people often nominate places based on symbolism:
- New York City – because of the UN headquarters; de‑facto global meeting place.
- Geneva – many UN agencies and international organizations.
- Brussels – EU capital, highly international.
- Nairobi or Singapore – to avoid a Western bias and be closer to Global South/Asia.
If we were choosing for 2026, I’d argue for a rotating “Earth Capital” every few years—different continents—so no single country owns the symbol.
