Well, I haven't started my career yet. I am still going to school for early childhood education. It is something that piqued my interest as a kid. I always admired (most) of my teachers I had growing up.
When I started college, I knew that I wanted to get into education. I respected all those that helped me with my education. I decided to focus on early childhook because it was most appealing to me.
@Massie
I believe that is a great choice. Usually when you have taken a special interest in as a child, that's the best career because you're heart is in it, and it's been your passion for all of these years.
I was a secretary and even when I was very young, I loved having a desk, papers of all kinds, pencils, stapler, etc.
To this day, collecting stationery is something that I like to do. I wish they had all of the cool things like they
do now when I was younger.
I remember going with my mom when she would go and pay our utility bills, and I would always ask her to ask the lady if she could give me some of the forms they had. And I would pretend that I worked for the utility company and play with the forms I kept in my little desk.
I wish you the very best with your career and I bet you are going to be very good at it.๐
@sage2021 thanks so much! Aww, what cute memories from your childhood. My grandma did something similar in keeping all sorts of old office type equipement like ink stamps and the calculators that printed on those rolls of paper. We had a blast as kids playing with that stuff.
My heart is definitely in the early education when the kids are just learning what it is like to be away from mom and dad for the day and interacting with each other. I think that is such a fun time to see them grow. I can't wait to get into it when I complete my degree.

No, when I was a kid I wanted to grow up to be a lawyer lol. I thought it would be fun to debate others and make good money while doing it. Even took speech and debate in high school for a year before realizing that I get too nervous speaking in front of others.
What I did end up in eventually was tech support/IT. Pretty big switch from what I wanted to what I became, but found it easier to talk to others when on a phone rather than face to face. No debating there, but it's ok because I also like to be helpful.
nope, not at all...
I actually "got serious" till I was age 22 or so... then I decided I didn't want a career, rather started a business of my own
Yes. I knew whatever I did I needed to avoid some bullshit SJW degree from college that would only get me a minimum wage job in Starbucks.
I had no idea. I just knew one day I would be successful but it took me a few years to figure it out.
Yes. I wanted to be a secretary at a very young age and I was one for 30 years.
I had no clue what I want to do.
