Should I quit my toxic warehouse job to study sonography full time?

I’m 28.
I’ve been at a clothing warehouse for 4 years. I should of been promoted by now, & past months tried my best be trainer / lead & asked supervisors & did tests but it seems they only choose friends & this year job became less professional & like high school. Only mean girls r being promoted happy to see me stuck as regular worker failing. I always been told im a good worker & new hires ask me for help daily. I’m being denied change to day shift due to school. While others are easily changed to their part time flex schedules.

I want go to school full time to be sonographer , do ultrasounds 2 years need go to school.
but I would need part time job to pay for food gas & my bills & rent a cheap studio room.
I want start sep.

most not point waste time as full time worker forver night shift if I’m being treated like trash.

I also wanted try get new job as lead/ trainer full time as pay would be higher like $23/24 an hour. However even tho I have strong desire lead be part of leadership , I want have degree so my future is secured. & want take break from people , coworkers & study at home focus on school work in my peaceful sancuary.

the job I’m at is far from moms apt & I spend too much gas. I felt like home at this job but it’s my time to leave. No point stay 5 more years never promoted. I haven’t been able rent a studio over there as gas & bills were high.

If ultrasound is something that really interests you, I'd suggest to pursue it. You might check to see what kind of current demand there is for ultrasound technologists in your area. Do you know anyone who works in medical imaging? You can check with them.

The issue is money. And what part time job has flex hours where u can work any hours any day u want , so I can keep going to school? That’s the issue.

I think this is an excellent idea. I have plenty of students who are older that did not go to college and decide that they want to go in a new direction.

What point waste more months full time if they don’t want promote me? And I stuck making $17 an hour broke?
Only issue is start date is only sep & im broke. And it would be hard find a part time job quickly.
I have strong desire be lead trainer and I would be making more money as. I have strong skills lead & help people. But yet again I would have no degree & working long hours as lead. So I’m confused.
I want be part of leadership but also want a degree. & tired of people drama from my current job sometimes I want hide at home and study no longer see them

@Sugar100 I teach Computer Science at a local state college. There are many two year programs in the medical field. I am not familiar with sonography but it sounds like a good job. What you need to research is whether that job will be done by AI. I know that AI can scan X-Rays and make primary diagnoses. Not sure about ultra sounds.
